    15 Years of Payne

    October 21, 2016 by Maxheat7

Fifteen years ago, on July 23rd, 2001, the world got to first experience the critically-acclaimed game, Max Payne, and since then we've enjoyed Max's journey through the night on a wide variety of consoles, a handheld system, and iOS and Android-supported devices (with the newest version of the game being released this last April for the PlayStation 4). Two sequels, a film, and a comic series later, we're all still celebrating Max and the world that Remedy and Rockstar Games have created, with fans contributing to the franchise's legacy by making short films, countless pieces of art, and an impressive novelization of the first game's story. It's been fifteen years of Payne, and I think it's safe to say that the violent but darkly comedic se…

    Adoption

    September 20, 2016 by Maxheat7

Hello, fellow Max Payne wiki editors! I am making a post about my intent to adopt this wiki. I don't want to discourage any editors (especially any possible future editors) from continuing to make this wiki even better, but articles marked for deletion and other outdated aspects of the wiki (such as a few links on the main page) need a more active staff to tend to them, and I think that could be me. If anyone wants to comment here, they are more than welcome to, and anyone can check out my page to see the 500+ edits, image and video additions, and created pages that I have contributed to the wiki. I love the Max Payne series and I feel like I can continue the amazing work that the editors and staff have done so far.

So, after more than two months after Max Payne 3 release, I finally got the power to write a review.

Max Payne 3 continues the Max Payne saga, nine long years since Max Payne 2. Painkillers-addicted, fatman, retired, Max is everything but his former self. He lives the same day, everyday, getting drunk at a bar.

I really liked the game's story, a true maserpiece from Rockstar Games, who contiues writing interesting plots for the best series franchises such as GTA and Red Dead. Personally, I like the first game's story better, but Max Payne 3 still has a touchy story.

    9.5/10

One of the best good-looking games of the year. Characters and locations feel so alive and react to the player's actions. There are are still some bugs, though, but it is ov…

    Hi,

Over the past couple of months we have been developing and testing a related videos module on some wikis like Harry Potter, Hunger Games and Halo. During these tests we have been tracking the number of video plays as well as collecting community feedback. We are now ready to expand the rollout to the rest of the site, and we are starting with wikis that there are the most videos for - which includes your wiki!

The videos we have are fully licensed from video partners we have developed relationships with. They include videos such as trailers, famous movie/TV clips, walkthroughs and behind the scenes interviews. We currently have video content from Screenplay and are working to create partnerships with other vendors, including Hulu, soon. …

    One year of XD

June 23, 2012 by Raziel Reaper

So, how are you, people of Wikia,

Today is a special day (to me, atleast), it marks a year sionce I joined Wikia.

It all started on June 23rd, 2011 (duh!), after months of being annon, I made an account and began to travel through the wikis.

Until the start July 1st, I didn't make nothing, only some minor edits on some wikis. In that date, I found a 'new home' (nah, not really) in the form of the GTA Wiki, and by August, I've became a Patroller there. I was promoted to an admion in April 2012. I met many people there, some friendly, some vandals, but I had a really good time on that Wiki.

My second (major) stop was the Gangstar Wiki, founded by a good friend of mine, and former admin of GTA Wiki, GTANiKo. By November, I've already became a Bur…

The release date for Max Payne 3, the PC version, has been delayed from May 29 to June 1. Rockstar's excuse for this delay is: "Our community has always preferred a single worldwide launch date, and while we couldn't make it happen for the console versions, we decided to work toward a global release for Max Payne 3 on PC.” As an avid PC gamer, Rockstar fan, and "pre-purchaser" of the PC version of Max Payne 3, I am angered by this considering that, in the past few years, the PC versions of Rockstar's games have been delayed and what they release are practically ports.

Max Payne 2 ended with the line "Max Payne's journey through the night will continue". And ever since 2003 the sequel has been eagerly anticipated.

The winter of 2009, as originally promised, did not bring us Max Payne 3, but, today, May 15th, 2012, after an epic nine-year-long wait for the Max Payne fans, the game is finally being released to the world. First, in North America and for the consoles only but, by the 1st of June, it will have come out worldwide and for the PC system as well.

There is a lot to be cautious about when anticipating the way the game'll turn out to be: the developers and the writers are completely new, the protagonist's appearance will change radically, the setting (both place and day time) will be changed dramatically. T…

With the release of Max Payne 3 tomorrow, the critics have voiced their opinions, and the consensus is overwhelmingly positive! Here are a few snippets from publications on both the Internet and print. Make sure to voice your opinions on the matter below!

    Score: 5/5
"Max Payne 3 is a technological tour de force that will have you screaming "Dear lord!" more times than midnight mass. The performances are top notch, the action plays out with unrivaled fluidity, and the multiplayer is deep and rewarding. Silly distractions aside, Max Payne 3 is an action lover’s wet dream that also happens to employ some of the slickest direction and transitional trickery this side of a David Fincher box set. Lock and load. It’s bullet time...time."

In breaking and completely unexpected news, Rockstar announced a real-life 3-part Max Payne 3 comics project, a collaboration between Rockstar, Marvel and even Remedy's own Sam Lake.

The story of the comic books will cover some events of Max Payne's life, ranging from those even before the original Max Payne to those of Max Payne 3, and will be co-written by Rockstar Games' own scribe Dan Houser and Sam Lake, while the art will be handled by the Marvel Comics' artists. Marvel is, of course, a very well known American comic publisher, most famous for its superhero comics (Spider-Man, X-Men, etc.).

The Max Payne 3 comics project will see the return of the father of Max Payne, Sam Lake, to the Max Payne franchise after all. After its 2004 sale from Rem…

    • M500 - a pump action that all gangs in Brazil love.

    Mini-30 rifle revealed

    February 26, 2012 by TheBearPaw

The News section of the Max Payne wiki debuts. Anyone can report any Max Payne news by creating a blog post with stamped on it.

With Rockstar being well known for their tight lips and strict upcoming game information control, the majority of news most likely will be any highlights reposted from the Rockstar Newswire, but our impartial look at them could add some flavor, or, of course, someone out there could uncover other type of news once in a while.

And so, the freshest bit of news in the Max Payne universe is the unveiling of the new weapon, the Mini-30 rifle for Max Payne 3.
