The "IT Guy", whose real name is Gabriel Argus, was a secretary and security guard who worked for Rodrigo Branco.

Biography[]

History[]

Before 2012, Gabriel moved to Brazil, presumably for work.

2012[]

A Sunday afternoon in February of 2012, the Crachá Preto attack the Fábricas Branco and disable the security system in the building. Gabriel, along with Branco's bodyguard, Max Payne, make their way to the server room to restore the security systems. On the way, however, the Crachá Preto attempt to hunt down the survivors, whom that Max kills to get to the server room, with Gabriel hiding in cover meanwhile.

The duo finally makes it to the server room in the cubicle office and after clearing it, Gabriel gets on the computers to reboot the system and get the security system back online. Max then prepares to head for the atrium, leaving Gabriel in the server room alone.

Unfortunately, some time after, the building was rigged to blow by an unknown force, later revealed to be U.F.E by Bachmeyer, who wanted to kill everyone inside, including Max and Rodrigo. Max was the sole survivor as Gabriel was later found dead, having either been caught in the blast or shot by a surviving CP member. Max killed the man in retaliation and took his gun. After Max inspects his body, he regrets not being able to save him or carry his body out of the inferno, but he needs to focus on his survival. His body is presumably burned or crushed in the fiery building afterward.

Trivia[]

  • The IT guy may be based on Maurice Moss, a character from the British TV show, The IT Crowd, as the two look very similar.
  • If Max takes too long to move on to the boardroom after clearing the first room, players may hear Gabriel saying “I should have never moved to Brazil,” implying that Gabriel is not from Brazil nor he is Brazilian. However, he is possibly South American.
