Plot

The chapter starts with Giovanna talking to Raul Passos in the public telephone while Max is looking around for gangs and paramililtary while taking off his shirt as it is ruined from sliding on the roof in the previous chapter. After the phone conversion Giovanna tells Max that they are coming but in some time. Giovanna notices some Cop looking at her. Max's initial idea of being safer in the crowded streets are not viable anymore. Giovanna and Max start to find hiding spots until help arrive and they end up in the bus junkyard.
Giovanna throws up a few times while they reach the place. Giovanna tells Max that she is pregnent with Passos' child. Being unable hide from the gangs Max starts to attack the gang people (player gain's control of Max). After clearing the area a cutscene shows two people in the rooftops with snipers. Giovanna starts to go crazy and gets anxious stating that "This is insanity". Max tries to calm Giovanna down telling her that Passos will be here here in a minute but she refuses saying there isn't going to be a "minute" while she keep moving from one cover to another. Once the game resume Max has to the sniper to go to the next phase. Giovanna's comical wandering around scared distracts the snipers time to time which gives Max a small window to kill them. Since the building where sniper sitting, are too far away Max can get far away/closer and take them out with regular guns. After the snipers are done They move to the next area where there is gas station. They get ambushed Giovanna panickly hides from the paramilitary officers as Max (player's control) immediately gun downs the CP. Max then returns to Giovanna while cutscene was triggered as Giovanna helping Max to lower the ladder. The two proceeds but was ambushed again by the Craćha preto. Max tolds Giovanna to get down and then Max jumps to the chain (player's control) then kills nine members around the area while the chain was pulling Max to the ground. Giovanna returns to check up on Max on how to find a way down. Max (assuming control from the player) goes around the garage door via a car wash bay but manages to have a fire fight with the CP. Giovanna was then seen chased by two Craćha preto who attempts to kill her but both upper platforms are beggining to collapse. Max attempts save Giovanna by shooting the platform the Craćha preto members were on who then the two fall to their deaths but more members come in but was shot dead my Max. Giovanna then opens switch to lower the stairs for Max to get up. The two proceeds but Giovanna signals Max that there's "someone down there" which was shortly revealed to be the Craćha preto. Max proceeds downstairs and kills the hiding members. After that Giovanna comes downstairs yelling "Why are you doing this?" and/or stating that "This is all fucked up!" unknowingly. While Max was ignoring her, the two goes outside to find a nearby window to break in. While Max was opening the window which he cannot fit in, Giovanna says to Max that he is the one breaking in but Max proclaims that Giovanna is the one breaking in. Giovanna the goes through the window and opens the door for Max but as soon as he gets in, Giovanna tells Max to be quiet which Max agree. While Giovanna automatically hides in the kitchen, Max (within a players control) storms in the office and kills all members in the area. Giovanna then goes to door as Max opens the switch, a Craćha preto member kicks the door down and was about to kill Giovanna. Max rushes to Giovanna's aid and shoots the CP member while entering Bullet Time who was about to kill Giovanna. After the office shoot out the duo then heads outside as Max ask Giovanna some questions involves with Giovanna has done (E.G. Max ask if Giovanna has shot anyone before). While Max gets all of his replies as a no from Giovanna, the two gets in an empty bus Max orders Giovanna that "it's drive or shoot, sister". While Giovanna drives the bus, Max defends the bus by killing as many Craćha preto members as Giovanna terribly crashes bus very often. After the bus drive by shoot out, Bus crashes to the favela thus hitting both Giovanna and Max Unconscience. A few seconds later as the two regains conscience Max tells Giovanna get on top of the building and signal Passos wait for Max come on top. While Max was stay put in the bus, Max grabs the LMG .30 and uses this to kill a small army of the Craćha preto members who were coming to kill Max. After Max demolished the small army of paramilitary with no one left to tell the tale, Raul and Giovanna leaves Max behind forcing himself to wait until he decides to leave the area. A few minutes later Wilson Da Silva comes in the area and pick Max up. Both were having conversation until the two reach the inner car park until Wilson Da Silva ask Max about the events in Panama. Which then results of Max having a flashback of events of his second day of his job.
