As Mona SaxEdit
Tong described her involvement shooting Max Payne 2 as something she had never done before and as an enjoyable experience, while also commending the producers of the project. According to her, the love story featured in the game was driving the video game medium into "a new direction".
Although Tong said she would have preferred to have voiced her character too, she was not able to participate in the casting call for the voice actress part of Mona Sax as she was abroad at the time auditions took place. The particular role then went to Wendy Hoopes.
Tong revealed she "loved" the original Max Payne game when she was shown it, but that when she tried to play its sequel herself she could not pass the first level as she was "hopeless with video games".
In addition to her career as a professional model, Kathy Tong has had small parts in several movies, the most recent being released in 2006. Max Payne 2 remains Tong's only role in video games.
“Yeah, actually 2 kids on the subway in NYC approached me and said 'I know who you are' then they pulled out the game and had me sign it. Crazy eh? I couldn't believe it”
