Description
Edit
After leaving Lupino's Hotel hotel, Max Payne tries to make his way to the apartment building where Jack Lupino lives, but, shortly after beginning his trek, he sees Vladimir Lem driving away in his car and then a bomb goes off in the building. Many more bombs explode as Max shoots his way through Mafia's men.
There are 2 thugs in the nearby Pawnbroker. Inside, breaking some showcase glass would reveal an Ingram.
Running down the street, a stand of tomorrow's newspapers can be found, their headlines screaming "bloody murder."
At the end of the street, lies a parked van with a pump-action shotgun in its back. To the left of it, stands a building with 3 more thugs inside waiting for your entry: sometimes positioned to the left of the door, sometimes standing in the center. Valkyr junkies litter the interior of the edifice.
After some more fights, Max Payne gets a call on the payphone from Alfred Woden, warning him that the police are on their way after the DEA agent.
Payne eventually gets into another mobster's apartment and out the window onto a fire escape that triggers the next level: Fear That Gives Men Wings.
PS2/Xbox
Edit
On the PS2/Xbox version, this level is divided up into three levels: The Man Riding Shotgun, Something More Sinister, and Let the Gun Do the Talking.
