After killing Jack Lupino and meeting Mona Sax, Max is found passed out next to Lupino's body and dragged back to Lupino's hotel.
Meanwhile Max has a nightmare about the night his wife and babies' death, where he is trying to find them through a maze of corridors following his wife's voice.

This level is quite easy, with the exception of the blood trail part.
Firstly, you see a cutscene with Max standing at the front door of his house and the camera is upside down. After the cutscene walk forward, and you should see the corridor maze. The corridor maze can be done by following the LEFT wall all the time. If you do so, you find yourself in Max's living room. You see a dark cutscene, and after that you can check if there's something interesting in the room. After that, go upstairs. You must go through the door at left from the staircase, but if you go to the bathroom first, you will notice planks at the door appearing from nowhere. Follow the corridor at left and you should see a blood trail. It's quite recommended to save here, if you don't want to do the level again if you fail. Run forwards, and at the corner of the blood trail, you should see another trail at a jumpful distance. Jump there, if you want to save time. Next you should see another trail again on left. Jump there too. When you land there, you should see the end of the corridor, which is sometimes confused with the other end. Go there, and follow the corridor. Next you should be in the baby's room. Watch the horrifying cutscene, and at the floor. You can see D3AD at the floor. Next go to the next room, which is a corridor again. Go through the corridor, and watch the cutscene with Max and some other guy in there, and Max is tied to a chair. Read Max's wife's diary, and go to the bedroom, and watch a few more cutscenes again: One with Max's wife screaming on a blank black screen, and next Max is shooting at the camera. Next Max shouts MURDERER! YOU KILLED HER! Then you will see the guy who tied Max to the chair, who is called Frankie "The Bat" Niagra...
